The use of props helps you to work and release stress, supports your body, elongates, helps you go deeper. It can either help you in alignment or work stronger. Loosen up those hamstrings - Your body would appreciate now and in 10 years. Tight hamstrings comes with tight lower back. Start stretching more the lower back and you will see the difference. Post Workout Hamstring Stretch (3-5 mins , 2-3 times a week), SEE THE DIFFERENCE Do this as a your post workout stretch... Watch it a few times... go slow Pay a lot of attention to the feet little details, Toes UP, Feet Flexed, long spine, bend the knees (is OK). Don't make the goal to reach for the toes.... Your goal is to keep a long lower back, open chest, ribs to quats, shoulders relax.... YES, bend the knees to loosen up the back, hip flexor and hammies. Please share and let me know if this help. Sciatic pain comes from bad posture, fast movement (over-stretching pulling lower back muscles) in cold; herniated disks. Breathing and stretching helps to allivate. What can I do if I suffer from Insomnia?
This breathing exercises (pranayama) is great to relax the mind, and helps balance the activity in the brain. AVOID THIS EXERCISE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT! (and go to my pregnancy playlists) Practice this pranayama before going to bed, or if you woke up in the middle of the night, get up sit comfortable or try to do in bed.... At times 10 mins (away from bed) focus on the breath cab make a great difference and put you back to sleep. Can yoga relax help with shoulder pressure?
Here are a few exercises to bring more mobility to your shoulders, would help you release knots and tightness. Please be mindful and remember breathe deep thru the nose when doing Yoga movements. Breathing thru the nose would keep your body warm, imagine/visualize that you direct the breath to the area that is tight (imagine the breathe is a color, and see that area you are working on in that color), while you move slow and breathe deep...
